NZ Sommeliers Blind Wine Tasting Competition
A very successful evening at the NZ Sommeliers Blind Wine Tasting Competition, hosted by Nick Hewitt at Nara in Martinborough.
1st: The winning team of Pour Decisions with Daniel Dew (team-member of Gris Anatomy, who won the competition for the last 4 years!) Cath Archer, Alex Bazeley, Jacinda.
2nd: Mint Condition, winemakers and cellar hand from Foley Wines based at The Runholder: (John Kavanagh, Tom Turner, Martin Bell and Kittiya Nuandee.
3rd: Bonnies and Clive, the Ata Rangi of co-owner/founder Clive Paton, assistant winemaker Katie Cameron, Vanessa Paton and Ben Masters.
Following the tasting we enjoyed a mid winter Swedish inspired Christmas Feast paired with many fine wines from Martinborough winemakers cellars.
